Job Description
Apollo.io, a leading go-to-market solution provider, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Apollo.io's financial operations. The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Accounting and work closely with the finance and accounting team in a remote-first environment.Apollo.io is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional eager to grow and drive impact.What this role involves:- Leading and executing month-end close activities.
- Performing variance analysis and investigating discrepancies.
- Owning vendor relationships and overseeing invoice processing.
- Preparing audit-ready documentation and acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.
- Partnering with FP&A and business stakeholders to manage accruals.
- Identifying opportunities for automation and process improvements.
- Playing a lead role in the development and rollout of new accounting policies and procedures.
- Driving ad hoc projects, system enhancements, and process transformation initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- A professional certification (e.g. CPA) is highly preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in SaaS, technology, or a high-growth company.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and excited to contribute to a collaborative and growth-oriented team.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred; familiarity with systems like Zip is a plus.
- Big 4/Public Accounting experience is a plus.
