The ACLU is seeking an Organizing Manager to join their National Political Advocacy Department. This role involves designing and leading complex organizing strategies on multiple campaigns, supporting the development of organizing goals, and skillfully deploying organizing tactics to advance policy outcomes.

The Organizing Manager will work closely with policy counsels and campaign strategists, develop strategic partnerships, and convene on-the-ground organizing meetings. They will also track program progress, produce compelling call and text scripts, and leverage volunteer teams.

This position, based in New York, NY or Washington, DC, requires a hybrid work arrangement of two days per week or eight days per month in-office and reports to the Deputy National Organizing Director. This is a term-limited postion slated to end on September 30th, 2025.

Role Involves:

Requirements:
  • Experience with issue advocacy and/or electoral campaigning.
  • Experience designing and executing organizing plans and tactics.
  • Track record of success in grassroots organizing and volunteer training.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
