Job Description
Zenoti is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer - DBA to join their product engineering team. This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The Lead Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing database instances in AWS and Azure cloud environments. They will ensure high availability and optimal performance for various database technologies hosted in the cloud. Zenoti is an all-in-one, cloud-based software solution for the beauty and wellness industry. The company powers more than 30,000 salons, spas, medspas and fitness studios in over 50 countries.
Role involves:
  • Managing MSSQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL database instances in mission-critical production systems.
  • Configuring database servers and monitoring system performance.
  • Analyzing and resolving issues in real-time.
  • Refining and automating regular processes.
  • Assisting developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Providing 24x7 on-call support for critical production systems.
  • Supporting scheduled maintenance and release deployment activities.
  • Sharing domain and technical expertise with team members.
Requirements:
  • 9+ years of experience in SQL Server Administration, including at least 2-3 years in AWS or Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server versions (2019+), Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Expertise of MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Linux systems hosted in Production environments.
  • Expertise in setting up and managing high availability solutions like Always On Availability Groups and SQL Server Failover Clustering.
  • In-depth knowledge of various cloud services and tools (AWS Cloud watch, CloudTrail, S3, Azure Monitor, Azure Security Center, etc.).
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, T-SQL, or Azure Automation for managing and automating tasks.
  • Familiarity with compliance, security standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.), and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience in working with Windows server and any relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in database migration and hybrid cloud environments.
