Job Description

Altium is seeking an Enterprise Field Applications Engineer (FAE) Manager to lead a team of FAEs providing technical support to enterprise customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and deep technical expertise.

The Enterprise FAE Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer success and revenue growth. They will lead, mentor, and develop a team of FAEs, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs.

Role involves:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of FAEs.
  • Defining and implementing strategies to support enterprise customers.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams.
  • Driving technical enablement and training programs.
  • Supporting the sales cycle with technical expertise.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key enterprise customers.
  • Developing and tracking key performance metrics.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and technologies.
  • Ensuring effective communication of product roadmaps.
  • Managing resource allocation and project prioritization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Fluency in both English and German
  • 8+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, applications engineering, or customer support role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific technology (e.g., PCB design, embedded systems, semiconductors).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and managing complex technical engagements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
