Job Description
Gusto is seeking a Principal Product Manager to drive customer-facing experiences within its flagship Payroll product. This role involves overseeing setup, payroll preparation, submission, and historical reporting. The ideal candidate will have a 'full stack' ownership mentality, from strategic vision to execution across desktop, mobile web, and native mobile platforms. They will define business goals, establish leading indicators, and collaborate with engineering, design, and data teams, as well as stakeholders in marketing, sales, legal, compliance, and operations.
Role Involves:
- Setting the strategic vision for the product area.
- Building and executing the product roadmap across multiple platforms.
- Defining top-line business goals and establishing leading indicators.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive the roadmap forward.
- Leading redesign initiatives for Gusto's payroll platform.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on Product Management experience.
- Experience in building and launching successful products within highly regulated industries.
- Strong product discovery and analytical skills.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify emerging opportunities and industry trends.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and deep empathy for customers.
- Proven track record of leading high-growth initiatives and building simple, elegant products at scale.
