Job Description
xAI is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their team in Palo Alto, CA. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial and licensing agreements, primarily with enterprise customers and partners. The Commercial Counsel will collaborate closely with technical and go-to-market teams, create efficient contracting processes, and provide support to the legal department as needed. This is an in-person role requiring up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and licensing agreements.
  • Partner closely with technical and go-to-market teams.
  • Create processes for efficient and scalable contracting.
  • Provide support to the legal department.

Requirements:
  • 6-10 years of combined legal experience at technology companies and law firms.
  • In-house experience at a B2C or B2B company.
  • Strong sense of ownership and enthusiasm for technology.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
  • JD and license to practice in CA.
  • Based in the SF Bay Area, or able to spend most weekdays there.
