Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Veeam, the leading provider of data resilience solutions, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their expanding team of experts focused on their SaaS platform. This role is based in Pune, India, and involves working on SaaS solutions built on Microsoft Azure, delivering top-tier data protection services.Responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Automating deployments and maintaining a resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS application platform.
• Supporting delivery and release pipelines.
• Continuously improving the reliability, performance, and scalability of systems.
• Developing comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Responding to incidents for distributed applications in production environments, including on-call rotations.
• Ensuring compliance with information security standards like ISO, SOX, and SSAE 16.
• Defining, documenting, and improving internal standards for style and maintainability.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in 24x7 production operations for a SaaS or cloud service provider.
• Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, AppInsights, Elastic Cloud).
• Experience managing Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Experience with container orchestration and management platforms.
• System programming skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (Azure DevOps or similar).
• Experience with distributed, event-based messaging architectures (Azure Event Hub, Azure Service Bus, Kafka, etc.).
• English proficiency for communication with international teams.
