Job Description

Caylent is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their Cloud Architecture & Engineering practice. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, experienced in managing a team of Architects and Engineers, and passionate about working with customers and partners. This role involves overseeing delivery engagements and driving the business forward.

Responsibilities:

Manage a team of 5-8 cloud engineers and architects.
Define and communicate the value of technical solutions.
Take on hands-on technical responsibilities during sprints.
Lead technical discussions with customers and guide solution direction.
Handle code reviews and pull request management.
Manage task assignments within sprints and ensure timely delivery.
Provide guidance on roadmap planning, best practices, and risk identification.
Mentor team members, sharing feedback and supporting growth opportunities.
Serve as the point of technical escalation for client engagements.
Kick off new projects and ensure alignment between technical delivery and business goals.
Support pre-sales through proposal development, contract review, and client presentations.
Conduct technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates.
Perform 1:1s and support the career growth of direct reports.
Navigate customer and team challenges with strong conflict resolution and leadership skills.
