Data Scientist, Analytics

Discord is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Analytics team. This role will focus on leveraging data to improve the user experience and contribute to Discord's mission of connecting people through shared interests, particularly gaming. The Data Scientist will partner with various teams to analyze data, build dashboards, and design A/B tests. They will also be responsible for communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with teams throughout Discord on data science analytics.
• Define KPIs and metrics to improve user experience.
• Build custom datasets to monitor product features.
• Socialize insights and reports with various audiences.
• Champion A/B testing and help with design and analysis.
• Collaborate with data and engineering teams on instrumentation.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience translating business problems into insights.
• 2+ years of experience building dashboards using Tableau, Looker, or similar.
• 2+ years experience writing SQL.
• Excellent communication skills.
• 2+ years of experience in A/B test design and analysis.
