Job Description
Planet is seeking an IT Support Engineer to manage and support the IT needs of employees across multiple regions. This role is based in San Francisco and requires working from the office 4 days a week. The IT Support Engineer will work closely with the Corporate Engineering team to ensure seamless operations across all office locations and a seamless digital experience for employees. Planet is a global company with employees working remotely worldwide and joining from offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and The Netherlands.

The role involves:
  • Managing the full lifecycle of devices, from procurement to decommissioning.
  • Providing advanced support for employees using Windows and MacOS.
  • Supporting and maintaining office videoconferencing solutions.
  • Handling onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
  • Designing and refining IT processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the IT team to provide high-quality support.

The ideal candidate should have:
  • 3+ years of experience in IT system support.
  • Proficiency in managing Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience with Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and Atlassian tools.
  • Solid knowledge of videoconferencing solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
