Job Description
Science Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer, Infrastructure to build and scale the virtual and physical infrastructure that helps their scientists and engineers conduct high-quality research efficiently. The role involves a variety of responsibilities, from managing machines in robotic cell-feeding workcells to configuring software service monitoring, building analysis pipelines for neural recording data, and instrumenting lab and cleanroom equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical judgment, be adept at learning and using various tools and platforms, and have a proven track record of solving real-world problems.Responsibilities include:
  • Designing, implementing, and managing automation pipelines for code development, testing, and deployment.
  • Integrating security tools and practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Ensuring thorough documentation of systems, processes, and automation frameworks.
  • Performing system analysis to identify processes for automation.
  • Implementing and maintaining monitoring solutions.
  • Evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies.
  • Staying updated with industry trends.
Key qualifications include:
  • 10+ years in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, data engineering, or SRE.
  • Basic programming skills in Ruby, Python, C, C++.
  • Experience setting up robust monitoring and alert systems.
  • Proficiency in networking principles.
  • Ability to assess problem impact and urgency.
  • Proven track record of understanding user needs.
