Job Description

Vimeo is seeking a passionate and skilled Software Engineer III (Fullstack) to join their team in Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate is someone who cares about clean code, stays updated on new technologies, and is eager to contribute to a dynamic environment.He/She will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing high-quality software, taking ownership of the process.
• Collaborating within an Agile team.
• Participating in the full development lifecycle, including planning and code reviews.
• Developing the core IAM platform for Vimeo accounts and authorization.
• Building scalable solutions to handle Vimeo's traffic demands.
• Ensuring the best technical design and approach for continuous improvement.
• Setting high technical standards.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A BTech/MTech in Computer Science or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in backend technologies such as Java, PHP, or Golang.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in frontend technologies like React, Next.js, or Vue.js.
• Good database knowledge (MySQL, Oracle, Redis, Memcache, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with design, coding, debugging, and testing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Very good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and time complexities.
• Very good knowledge of OOPS and design patterns.
• A good understanding of cloud technologies.
• Exposure to authorization and authentication models like RBAC, ReBAC, SSO, and SCIM (nice to have).
• A basic understanding of infrastructure technologies like Varnish and HAProxy (nice to have).
• Fair knowledge of frontend technologies like React.
• A willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies.
