Job Description
Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their team in Montreal. This role focuses on the company's transaction-based revenue line and reports to the Manager of Revenue Accounting. The Senior Revenue Accountant will contribute to enhancing decision-making processes by analyzing and optimizing operational data. They will lead projects focused on the validity, accuracy, and automation of data across various systems and workflows.Responsibilities include:
- Dealing with Software & Hardware Revenue across all Lightspeed product offerings.
- Maintaining and building complex workbooks reconciled to financials.
- Analyzing trends and explaining variances to management.
- Introducing controls and quality checks for reporting accuracy.
- Conducting data quality analysis and system performance assessments.
- Leading projects and solving complex problems.
- Evaluating data quality and proposing solutions.
- Executing audit-related tasks and engaging in month-end processes.
- Managing revenue recognition for software and hardware bundles.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Assisting with training and mentoring junior team members.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of Audit Background.
- Passed CFE and obtained the CPA title.
- Extensive experience using MS-Excel.
- Keen attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS 15 and accounting standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience in mentoring junior levels.
