Tech Manager

AB InBev is seeking a Tech Manager to lead the Engineering Management agenda in BEES Platform, its business-to-business e-commerce and SaaS business. The Tech Manager will be responsible for the software development teams management, performance & stability and engineering metrics. This role involves close collaboration with senior product & engineering leadership to provide visibility on the product’s engineering strategy, highlights, lowlights, and action plans.

What this role involves:

• Understanding microservices and business areas.
• Providing technical leadership within a team.
• Being responsible for the technical scope delivered by the team.
• Keeping pace with the roadmap and its milestones.
• Contributing ideas and knowledge to the product's technical architecture.
• Managing and developing team members.
• Identifying and raising technical risks.
• Helping the Program Team to remove impediments.
• Maintaining alignment with Solutions Architect.
• Taking ownership of the product and helping the Product team to evolve it.
• Leading technical teams composed of engineering coordinators/tech leads, software engineers and quality assurance engineers.
• Being passionate about continuous improvements and learning mindset and cascade this mindset to the team.

Requirements:

• University degree in computing-related courses.
• Broad professional experience in software development.
• Solid understanding of computer concepts.
• Strong technical skills (architecture, programming, analysis, debugging, code refactoring)
• Experience with DevOps tools and platforms (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Fluent English.
• Microservices dev (RESTful/JSON, Spring Boot Java)
• Scrum and Agile methodology knowledge
• API/Microservices Driven development
• Test Automation Proficiency with automated tests using JUnit, Jmeter, Cypress, etc.
• Experience with Queues (RabbitMQ or Kafka).
• Good knowledge with relation and non-relation cloud databases & structures preferably with Atlas MondoDB.
• Experience with security protocols (JWT, OAUTH, etc.)
• Familiar with data engineering and data modeling.
