Senior Backend Engineer

The company is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its team in Krakow. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a solution that enables banks to provide seamless service to customers and employees through engaging banking experiences. This role is within the Business Banking value stream of the R&D department, focusing on areas like Entitlements and Positive Pay.

The Senior Backend Engineer will be part of an autonomous team responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to release. The role involves taking ownership of projects and collaborating with architects, QA engineers, and other team members to ensure implementations align with technical vision and best practices. The company's R&D approach is inspired by the Spotify Model, with teams organized into Value Streams, Tribes, Guilds, and Chapters.

Role Involves:

• Contributing to new and existing functionalities.
• Developing proof of concepts.
• Implementing technical improvements to the Digital Banking Platform.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure best practices.

Requirements:

• Solid background in software development and design.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
• Solid understanding of Java, Maven, CI, and CD.
• Experience with relational databases and Spring JPA / Hibernate.
• Experience with microservices (Netflix OSS is a plus), Cloud, and Apache Tomcat.
• Experience with non-functionals such as security, performance, and scalability.
• Solid understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns.
