Job Description

Backbase is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join their Showcase team. This role focuses on building cutting-edge, story-first demos and interactive sandboxes that redefine how Backbase sells and validates its platform. The engineer will shape immersive, AI-powered experiences that make an impact.

As a Web Engineer, the individual will create dynamic, high-fidelity frontend experiences that power both live demos and new interactive playgrounds. They will collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to build sleek, engaging user journeys that span across the full lifecycle. AI-driven interactions, platform integration, and performance will be central to their success.

Role involves:

  • Developing responsive Single Page Applications (SPAs) using Angular and TypeScript.
  • Building immersive, AI-powered demos and playgrounds.
  • Collaborating with backend, design, and platform teams.
  • Partnering with R&D to ensure new platform features are robust and demo-ready.
  • Taking ownership of solutions from development to delivery.
  • Extending and customizing ModelBank components and APIs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience building Angular applications with TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, SCSS.
  • Experience developing AI-driven or AI-enhanced user interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of UX principles, design systems, and frontend architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices, Git workflows, and frontend automation tools.
  • Comfortable reverse-engineering or adapting existing codebases.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
