Job Description
Postman is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to join their team and contribute to the Postman Insights product. This role involves taking AI initiatives from 0 to 1, focusing on prototyping new AI-powered features to help developers quickly find and fix production issues. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to create technically feasible solutions that meet user needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to prototype new AI-powered features.
- Own fullstack development for new feature prototypes.
- Lead initiatives to turn prototypes into full-fledged product features.
- Serve as the team expert on AI, staying updated on the latest developments.
- Skill up the rest of the team in AI technologies.
- Contribute to architectural and design decisions for AI-powered features.
Requirements:
- Strong track record of delivery with multiple launched user-facing products/features.
- Strong fullstack implementation skills.
- Scrappy prototyper, able to spin up prototypes quickly.
- Good grasp of AI technologies and ability to learn new technologies.
- Good product sense and ability to understand user needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience building AI-powered product features.
- Both frontend and backend development experience.
- Experience launching multiple user-facing products in collaboration with Product and Design.
- Experience driving large projects with multiple engineers.
- Experience making architecture-level decisions based on scaling or other constraints.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to come to the office 3x per week.
