Job Description
Bridgewater Associates is seeking a Portfolio Associate to operate the systematized investment logic used to create ideal portfolios for clients. The Portfolio Associate will oversee processes that ingest market data, apply portfolio construction logic, risk controls, and client-specific constraints to determine ideal portfolios. They will also oversee the logic for choosing instruments and delivering trades to the trading department. The role involves regular communication with senior investment managers, traders, and developers, as well as partnering with technologists and researchers to improve processes.
Responsibilities: - Executing and overseeing the systematized logic for generating client portfolios and trades.
- Understanding and communicating the state of portfolios to senior investment teams and CIOs.
- Collaborating with technologists and researchers to construct or overhaul investment implementation systems.
- Driving initiatives to improve the quality, reliability, and efficiency of systems.
- Evolving methods and best practices within the investment community.
Requirements: - 4-year degree from an accredited undergraduate institution.
- 1+ years of relevant work experience at an investment bank or asset management firm.
- Experience with portfolio construction and risk management techniques.
- Analytical, logical, and structured thinking.
- Deep interest in understanding financial markets.
- Systems-oriented mindset for problem-solving.
