Job Description
Precision Medicine Group is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead flow cytometry projects. The Senior Scientist will be responsible for assay design and development, validation, and execution. They will perform assays according to SOPs and support the development of new procedures and the improvement of existing SOPs. The Senior Scientist may also supervise assigned laboratory staff.Role involves:
- Performing flow cytometry assays and other immune assays following SOPs.
- Designing and performing experiments, independently analyzing and presenting data.
- Establishing and improving procedures and SOP documentation.
- Troubleshooting and correcting scientific issues.
- Collaborating with other technical teams.
- Operating BD flow cytometers and cell sorters.
- Leading new flow projects.
- Assisting with writing proposals and publications.
- Maintaining safe lab practices.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. and 6+ years’ relevant laboratory experience or Master’s Degree and 10+ years’ relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience with complex flow assays.
- Expert level flow cytometry skills.
- Demonstrated skills in monitoring cell-mediated immunity.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong computational skills.
