Senior Research Engineer - Bangalore

Job Description

E2open is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to join their team in Bangalore. This role is crucial for research projects involving Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Optimization, and various mathematical algorithms to solve supply chain problems. The Senior Research Engineer will develop mathematical models and prototypes to confirm the value and potential business value quantification.Responsibilities include:

• Defining and prototyping mathematical, optimization, and machine learning models for supply chain problems.
• Developing data mining techniques and building proof of concepts.
• Staying current on supply chain, mathematical, and industrial research.
• Demonstrating thought leadership with strategic customers and demoing proof of concepts.
• Assisting Product Managers with functionality requirements analysis.
• Designing and developing new algorithms for products.
• Writing product specifications for the development team.

Requirements:

• M.S./Ph.D. degree in a mathematical/statistical, computer science, and/or operations research.
• Solid optimization (e.g., linear programming), machine learning, mathematical, and statistical foundation.
• 2+ years of working experience in computer programming and AI/ML.
• Database and current technology expertise.
• Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Post-doctoral experience, University Professorship in Mathematics or related discipline, Supply chain research is preferred.
