Job Description

Xapo Bank is offering a Finance Internship for students eager to gain hands-on experience in the fintech sector. This is a 100% remote position, although selected candidates will be expected to work from the Gibraltar office on certain occasions to support collaboration, mentorship, and exposure to local operations. Applicants should be based in Gibraltar and be able to travel to the office when required.

During this 2-month internship, the intern will work directly with the finance team, assisting with financial analysis, reporting, and financial planning tasks.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Supporting the team in conducting financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Helping track and analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborating with various departments to collect and analyze data for financial planning and budgeting.
• Assisting in preparing and reviewing financial documentation for audits and compliance.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Some exposure to financial analysis, accounting, or reporting through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships is beneficial.
• A basic understanding of financial principles, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP), and budgeting techniques is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Excel and financial modeling is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration and clear reporting.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving with an interest in the finance sector.
• Ability to work well within a team, with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
