Job Description
Archer Aviation, an aerospace company focused on sustainable air mobility, is seeking a Design Assurance and Quality Engineer. This role is based in San Jose, California. The Design Assurance and Quality Engineer will contribute to the development and certification of Archer's all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.
Responsibilities:
- Executing System Process Assurance activities.
- Executing Software Quality Assurance activities.
- Executing Supplier Oversight activities.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of System and Software processes.
- Interfacing with FAA DERs and Certification Authorities.
- Maintaining and controlling issues found in design assurance activities.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in System and Software Quality Assurance for aerospace standards.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Experience with safety-critical systems, software, and AEH complying with ARP4754A/B, DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Experience with multiple systems and software environments and tools.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in fast-paced work environments.
- Experience with agile/lean methodologies.
