Job Description
Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, California, is seeking a Senior Software Configuration Management Engineer. This role involves contributing to the continuous improvement of software CM and release processes, executing software releases, and coordinating software Change Control Boards. The engineer will establish and maintain software configuration baselines, perform archival and retrieval activities, and ensure adherence to CM/IT plans.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Archer SW CM and release processes
  • Execute software releases for Archer internal development
  • Coordinate software Change Control Boards (CCB) for Archer internal development
  • Establish and maintain Archer software configuration baseline for multiple test environments, including flight testing
  • Perform archival and retrieval activities for Archer software components
  • Control and follow-up the configuration management status accounting for Archer software components
  • Ensure archival, retention, backup, and recovery procedures are adhered to
  • Perform CM activities for the Archer software development and verification environments and maintain all CM records
  • Support Continuous Integration, Continuous Development (CI/CD) evolution and pipeline
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in Software CM activities for aerospace standards
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Experience with full lifecycle safety critical software complying with design assurance and safety standards like DO-178C or ISO 26262
  • Experience with multiple CM environments and tools
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
Archer offers:
  • A base pay between $134,400 - $168,000
