Job Description
Archer Aviation, an aerospace company focused on electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, is seeking an Engineering Technician - EWIS in San Jose, California. This role involves supporting the assembly, integration, and testing of Electrical Wiring and Interconnect Systems (EWIS) for Archer's eVTOL aircraft.   • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Building and routing wiring harnesses.
  • Setting up and maintaining specialized tooling.
  • Conducting continuity checks and data acquisition testing.
  • Troubleshooting electrical wiring issues.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing engineers and design teams.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation.
What you need:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the aerospace and/or automotive industry as an engineering technician.
  • Associate’s degree or certification in a field of engineering technology (4+ years of experience can substitute for education requirements).
  • Experience with wire harness fabrication, high-voltage wiring, batteries, and electric motor controllers.
  • Proficiency in standard aerospace wiring practices.
  • Knowledge of aircraft safety procedures and industry regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and FAA guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
What Archer offers:
  • A base pay between $39.00/hr - $49.00/hr.
