Job Description
EarnIn is seeking a Sr. Software Engineering Manager to lead a full-stack engineering team. This role involves contributing to the design and development of innovative products and working with cross-functional partners to shape product direction. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manager with experience in leading engineering teams and driving improvements to business metrics. This position can be hybrid from the Mexico City office or remote.
What This Role Involves:
- Partnering with product and other engineering teams to drive improvements to business metrics and build new features.
- Driving the design and implementation of new product areas and features.
- Breaking down complex problems into elegant designs and creating high-quality, maintainable code.
- Guiding the team through ambiguity and ensuring technical excellence through rapid experimentation cycles.
- Leading the team to launch MVPs quickly and iterate based on feedback.
- Recruiting other engineers for the team and helping in recruiting efforts.
- Mentoring and coaching engineers to advance their careers.
- Managing cross-functional relationships to deliver high-quality products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with some experience leading a small team.
- Experience in architecture, writing clean, scalable code, and solving technical problems.
- Ability to work with a cross-functional team of PMs, Analysts, and mobile and back-end-focused engineers.
- Experience leading a team that regularly created high-quality output on top of critical infrastructure.
- Creative and tenacious problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive, healthy team environment.
