Job Description

Smartly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Bobby Tables team, focusing on the core reporting engine. This role involves transforming Smartly's Reporting product and contributing to a robust reporting ecosystem. The engineer will work on a critical component of the Smartly AI-powered advertising platform, handling diverse data sources and enabling clients to analyze ad campaign performances.

The Senior Software Engineer will empower Smartly teams by making Reporting and Integration solutions more self-sufficient, enabling seamless data exchange and report generation. They will also improve data visualization in the Smartly product and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Empower Smartly teams with Reporting and Integration solutions.
  • Enable seamless data exchange and report generation.
  • Improve data visualization in the Smartly product.
  • Plan, implement, and support enhancements to the Reporting engine.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in building scalable distributed systems.
  • Strong backend expertise.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL is a plus).
  • Experience with large-scale data processing and performance optimization.
  • Ownership mindset and ability to lead initiatives.
  • Based in Berlin and able to work in-office three days per week.
