Back-End Engineer (Go)

Job Description

Pure Storage is seeking a Back-End Engineer (Go) to join its FlashBlade team in Prague, Czech Republic. The FlashBlade team is responsible for building a scale-out all-flash file and object store. The Engineering team designs, develops, and maintains new features for the Unified Fast File and Object product, FlashBlade. They collaborate across functions and locations with other engineering teams, product development, account management, and other stakeholders.

The role involves:

• Designing and implementing creative new algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems.
• Owning and delivering innovation end-to-end, from concept to shipped feature or product.
• Ensuring that features are in line with product management requirements and customer expectations.
• Representing the team in technical leadership meetings.
• Ensuring the team efficiently delivers according to plans and in the highest quality possible.
• Analyzing and solving challenging problems through persistence and insight.
• Working as a team with smart peers.
• Making customers really happy.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years experience using Go AND/OR Java.
• Knowledge of another language like Python or C++.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to present technical information.
• Engineering mindset and the no problem is too hard to solve attitude.
• Natural curiosity with proven design sensibility and willingness to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
• Experience in any number of related systems' software projects e.g: Distributed systems, operating systems, Linux Kernel, Database internals, Hypervisors, Containers, Compiler Optimization, etc.
• Expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure’s policies.
