Job Description
Intercom, an AI Customer Service company, is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their Customer Solutions Team. The Senior Sales Engineer will engage with customers, define value, and play a key role in the sales cycle. They will partner with Product, R&D, and Engineering to ensure customer needs are at the core of AI-powered solutions.Role involves:
  • Leading technical discovery to address customer needs
  • Delivering pre-sales experiences, articulating value and expertise
  • Conducting solution reviews and technical sessions
  • Designing and leading Proof of Concepts (POCs)
  • Serving as the primary resource for RFPs and security questions
  • Collaborating with Product and Engineering to represent the customer voice
  • Building trust with customers and ensuring lasting value
  • Improving processes and building a Sales Engineering playbook
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role
  • Experience managing C-Level technical and business relationships
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to deliver value presentations
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Time management skills in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to translate business challenges into Intercom solutions
  • Experience working with product and engineering teams
  • Familiarity with managing POCs, RFPs, and security questions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to team and company success
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
