Job Description
Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Principal to join their European Competition practice in Brussels. The Principal will work with experts testifying in judicial proceedings, providing economic analyses of mergers and other competition matters before major competition authorities. CRA offers a supportive, team-oriented environment with opportunities for internal training and career growth.Responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with academics and consulting with clients on finance, strategy, and economics issues.
  • Conducting research in a team-oriented environment.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for clients and presenting deliverables.
  • Independently conceptualizing issues and designing complex economic and financial models.
  • Overseeing analysis in statistical analysis programs.
  • Managing the research process and supervising teams.
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
  • Driving practice-building activities.
Requirements:
  • Good first degree in economics and a postgraduate degree (MSc/MPhil or PhD/DPhil).
  • Extensive and relevant experience (10+ years), competition policy/economic consulting experience preferred.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Extensive executive client presence and revenue creation skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of economic concepts and quantitative analysis methods.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
