Software Engineer Backend Specialist | GenAI

Job Description

Wellhub is seeking a Software Engineer Backend Specialist to join its GenAI team in Brazil. This role involves building the next generation of AI-powered solutions by providing high-quality data to power the engine of Wellhub’s generative AI product and provide partner data to all areas of the company. The engineer will contribute to building and maintaining a comprehensive database of information on existing and potential partners.

Role Involves:

• Designing, developing, and implementing generative AI-based applications.
• Working with large language models (LLMs) to create innovative solutions.
• Developing and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Designing and developing APIs to interface with various AI models and services.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers and designers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Expertise in technically leading a software engineering team.
• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and related technologies.
• Strong skills in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies (e.g., OpenSearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with API development and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
