Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Alarm.com is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design, validation, and manufacturing of embedded hardware systems. The candidate will be part of an experienced engineering team, taking ownership of schematic design, component selection, and layout review. This role involves working across the entire product development lifecycle, from prototyping to mass production, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support hardware bring-up, debugging, and regulatory compliance.

Role involves:
• Leading schematic design and component selection for camera systems.
• Reviewing and guiding PCB layout.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Conducting hardware validation and debugging.
• Collaborating with Mechanical, Firmware, RF, Test, and Manufacturing teams.
• Applying DFM principles.
• Supporting factory builds.
• Maintaining detailed hardware documentation.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in developing hardware for embedded systems, camera systems preferred.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and layout review tools (e.g., OrCAD, Allegro, Altium).
• Solid understanding of power management, signal interfaces, and hardware bring-up techniques.
• Familiarity with lab instruments.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication in English and fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
