Job Description
Alarm.com is seeking a Quality Engineer to enhance the quality and performance of its Small & Medium Business (SMB) solutions. The Quality Engineer will validate hardware, backend services, and software components, collaborating with cross-functional product teams to maintain high industry quality standards. This role spans the entire product lifecycle, from initial development to launch and ongoing support.Role involves:
- Owning the end-to-end testing process.
- Partnering with product and engineering teams.
- Designing and executing test plans.
- Logging and tracking defects.
- Supporting weekly software and hardware releases.
- Setting up and maintaining test environments.
- Investigating, triaging, and escalating issues.
- Proposing and driving corrective actions.
- Leveraging engineering knowledge to certify products.
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational abilities.
