Job Description

GWI is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join their Data Operations team in Athens. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the pipeline, working with consumer survey data to clean, process, and validate its accuracy before loading it to the customer platform. This role involves investigating and resolving data discrepancies, as well as contributing to improvements in tooling, documentation, and workflows. The Data Analytics Engineer will collaborate with various teams, including Data Automations, Research, Engineering, and Product.

Role involves:

  • Cleaning, transforming, and loading datasets for analysis
  • Performing advanced data quality checks and troubleshooting data issues
  • Improving data validation and delivery processes
  • Collaborating with product and engineering teams
  • Documenting and maintaining data processes
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing and technical discussions
  • Supporting onboarding or mentoring of junior team members

Requirements:

  • Suitable educational qualifications in mathematical, computational, statistical sciences (or a related field)
  • Demonstrable experience using Python to manipulate and transform data
  • Experience with shared script repositories and version control (e.g. GitHub)
  • An appreciation for data quality, attention to detail, and thoughtful documentation
  • Experience working with structured data pipelines in a collaborative team-based environment using shared code, tools, and workflows
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to team culture and shared goals
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly and contribute to an open, supportive team culture
  • A proactive and structured approach to delivery, prioritisation, and problem-solving
  • An understanding of how your work supports broader business goals, and the ability to apply that perspective to your projects
