Preventative Maintenance Associate

Job Description

Zenni Optical is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Associate to join their Distribution Team in Novato, CA. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of the distribution center. The ideal candidate will accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders, while also assisting in basic maintenance activities.Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure orders are processed correctly.
• Assist in inventory management and cycle counting.
• Prepare shipments for carriers, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, reporting any discrepancies.
• Learn and assist with basic maintenance tasks such as equipment cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Collaborate with maintenance team members to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
• Work closely with colleagues in the distribution center to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Communicate effectively and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
• Willingness to learn and acquire new maintenance skills through on-the-job training and development opportunities.
• Participate in relevant training programs as offered by the company.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with basic computer skills, including MS Office and inventory management software.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training will be provided if necessary)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive motions.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
