Job Description
Forge Health is seeking a passionate Psycho-Oncologist Community Therapist to join their expanding psycho-oncology program. This is a 1099 contractor position with flexible hours, ideal for an independently licensed therapist (or someone working toward full licensure) with a strong interest in working with oncology clients and engaging the broader community in behavioral health education and access. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of building a specialized program alongside experienced leadership in psycho-oncology, offering both therapy services and proactive outreach to oncology networks, practices, and community partners.She will be responsible for:
- Providing individual, group, and family therapy to individuals and families impacted by cancer
- Facilitating psychoeducational and therapeutic groups
- Conducting community outreach and engagement calls
- Completing initial assessments, treatment plans, and documentation
- Collaborating with the clinical leadership team
- Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Participating in continued education and growth efforts
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Independently licensed or license-eligible in NY, NJ, PA, NH, or MA
- Prior experience or strong interest in psycho-oncology, grief, medical trauma, or chronic illness
- Comfort leading groups and offering care via telehealth and/or in-person
- Strong interpersonal and outreach skills
- Technological competence using EHR systems and virtual platforms
