Job Description
Caylent is seeking a Principal Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloud-based data solutions. This role involves defining strategic roadmaps, acting as a data engineering SME, and overseeing the development of data standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud data and analytics technologies.
Responsibilities include:
- Defining strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for clients.
- Acting as a data engineering SME for upcoming engagements.
- Performing technical interviews and providing technical guidance.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of data standards.
Requirements include:
- At least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape.
- 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems.
- Experience with relational database design, optimization, and migration.
- Data modeling for transactional and analytics systems.
- Experience with BI dashboards and visualizations.
- Experience with Data Governance and MDM.
- Experience with Big data processing using Spark, Streaming solutions, and NoSQL.
- Experience with Machine Learning and MLOps with proficiency in Sagemaker.
- Experience with GenAI Foundational Models as well as approaches and frameworks used in conjunction with them with proficiency in Bedrock.
- Experience with DataOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, Data Testing, Data Versioning, etc).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Experience with Python for analytics (numpy, pandas, matplotlib etc) and automation.
- Strong drive towards standardizing and documenting our approach and solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
