Payroll Officer, EMEA

Sotheby's, a global leader in art and luxury, is seeking a Payroll Officer for its EMEA region, based in London. This role reports to the Payroll Manager and involves managing payroll operations across the UK and other EMEA countries. The Payroll Officer will be a key contributor to high-volume payroll processes, working closely with the Finance and Human Resources teams to ensure a responsive service that meets all statutory, legal, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities include:

• Inputting manual changes into payroll on a monthly basis for the UK (ADP Celergo and SEF form).
• Ensuring compliance with GDPR guidelines for filing and data retention.
• Managing end-to-end UK payroll processes for over 600 employees.
• Performing pension payment processes impacting monthly payroll.
• Validating the accuracy of monthly data input by HR on the payroll tracker.
• Managing overtime submissions and uploading to ADP.
• Managing payroll and pension queries.
• Liaising with external payroll consultants for shadow payroll.
• Inputting employee benefits to the payroll.
• Responding to statutory reporting.

Ideal candidate should possess:

• Minimum 4 years in a fully managed payroll environment.
• Solid knowledge of UK payroll related legislation.
• Experience with busy payrolls.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong team player.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
