The Merchandiser will be responsible for building vendor relationships, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and managing product lines.
What this role involves:
Sourcing and evaluating new products.
Building and maintaining vendor relationships.
Monitoring market conditions and price fluctuations.
Managing inventory across Stock and Just-in-Time (JIT) categories.
Establishing target selling prices.
Maintaining accurate data in SAP (or ERP platform).
Collaborating with internal teams.
Processing merchandise control requests.
Keeping clear records of supplier information.
Providing insights to improve departmental systems.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
Experience negotiating with vendors.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
