Job Description
Perplexity is seeking an experienced AI Research/Machine Learning Engineer to work on Agent Products. The candidate will be responsible for designing production and training systems for LLM-powered agents, partnering with the Core Research & Post-Training Team to refine models against Perplexity’s retrieval index, and devising multi-turn Evals for browser and deep research agents. They will also improve the codebase and collaborate with stakeholders to develop integrated product solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design a production and training system for LLM-powered agents.
- Partner with the Core Research & Post-Training Team to refine models.
- Devise multi-turn Evals for browser and deep research agents.
- Improve the speed and quality of the codebase.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop integrated product solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven research experience with large-scale LLMs and Deep Learning systems.
- Strong Post-Training skills.
- A strong consumer product intuition for Agent products.
- Understands how to make tradeoffs in developing an end-to-end agent.
- Minimum of 5 years of working on relevant deep learning research areas.
