Job Description

Butternut Box is seeking a Senior EHS Specialist for their new investment in Zabrze. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the implementation of all relevant Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and corporate compliance. The role involves promoting best practices and developing a strong safety and environmental culture while managing operational changes.Butternut Box is a B-Corp certified company committed to environmental and social responsibility. They acquired PsiBufet in 2023 and are building a new production facility in Zabrze to serve multiple European markets.Role involves:

• Advising on occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and fire protection.
• Analyzing accidents, assessing occupational risks, and developing OHS instructions.
• Conducting initial and periodic OHS training.
• Cooperating with institutions and external companies.
• Implementing post-inspection recommendations.
• Supporting the creation of EH&S budgets and reporting to internal and group structures.
• Promoting a culture of Safety and Hygiene at Work throughout the company.
• Developing and updating documentation related to occupational health and safety and environmental protection.
• Monitoring and analyzing environmental parameters and implementing measures to protect the environment.

Requirements:

• Higher education in OHS and/or environmental protection.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position (preferably in the FMCG sector).
• Expert knowledge of OHS and current legal requirements.
• Good computer skills.
• Willingness to build something from scratch.
• Highly developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills, as well as a focus on action.
• Knowledge of English at least at an intermediate level.
• Fire inspector qualifications are welcome.
