Senior Java Engineer - Prime Services

Job Description

Capco Poland is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join an international team working for a major global bank. The role is part of the Prime Services desk, which provides solutions to institutional clients. The Senior Java Engineer will be involved in a complex, long-term project with high visibility and demanding timelines.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a solid understanding of financial markets, particularly in areas such as cleared listed derivatives, cleared OTC derivatives, FX prime broking, and LME metals.

Role Involves:

• Designing and contributing to the delivery of solutions.
• Partnering with stakeholders to capture requirements.
• Managing resource usage in liaison with DevOps.
• Building features into the platform using experience of financial markets electronic trade capture.
• Ensuring best-in-class technology within Financial Markets specifications and regulations.
• Building services with an API-first approach.
• Implementing safe defensive coding and access control.
• Supporting database integration/migration, caching, communication, and security.
• Providing Production L3 support.
• Challenging anything that isn’t up to standard.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in back-end software engineering with Java.
• Solution design and development expertise with Spring, REST API, microservices.
• Exposure to DevOps tool sets and techniques (e.g. Atlassian Bamboo).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Exposure to Prime Services, Exchange Traded Derivatives Clearing applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• An innovative mindset.
