Job Description
Talkdesk is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their team in Bengaluru. Talkdesk is a company focused on redefining customer experience through innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between AI capabilities and Talkdesk products, focusing on applied AI research and engineering. They will leverage Generative AI, Speech Recognition, NLP, and predictive ML to deliver added value to Talkdesk's customers.
The role involves:
- Delivering working and robust products/models to production.
- Exploring, cleaning, and transforming large datasets of unstructured data.
- Applying, combining, and fine-tuning different predictive and LMM models.
- Building pipelines that provide observability and metrics-driven monitoring of AI solutions.
Requirements:
- 8-12 years of industry experience post BS or MS in Science, Engineering, or Statistics.
- Hands-on experience with generative language models and related frameworks.
- Experience with data curation and application of PEFT approaches for tuning open source LLMs.
- Knowledge and experience building guardrails for GenAI applications.
- Relevant experience developing production-grade NLP/Speech tasks.
- Familiarity with optimizing LLMs and model serving at scale.
- Familiarity with supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms.
- Comfortable with SDLC and working in planned and predictable development iterations.
- Fluency in Python and familiarity with Java or Scala.
