Software Engineer, Traffic Engineering (2+ YOE)

Job Description

Airtable is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Traffic Engineering team. This role involves building and maintaining the traffic infrastructure to ensure reliable, flexible, and secure traffic management across Airtable's network and routing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping code related to network routing, network security, and traffic engineering, with a strong understanding of AWS and k8s.Role involves:

• Serving as a founding engineer on the Traffic Infrastructure software team.
• Developing the vision and identifying high-impact early projects.
• Improving Airtable’s resilience to hardware issues and traffic spikes.
• Evolving key foundations of Airtable’s infrastructure.

Requirements:

• 2+ years in Software Engineering
• Experience with service mesh, traffic engineering, and/or cloud networking preferred
• Experience working on high-scale, low-latency systems with better than 99.9% uptime SLOs preferred
• Deep experience with AWS and/or k8s preferred
