Engineering Manager, Security

Job Description

Airtable is seeking an Engineering Manager, Security to lead its Infrastructure Security and Detection & Response teams. This role is pivotal in securing Airtable's systems and enhancing incident response capabilities. The Engineering Manager will drive efforts to mitigate security risks through proactive strategies and effective response measures.Role involves:

• Developing and implementing goals, metrics, strategies, policies, and procedures for Infrastructure Security and Detection & Response.
• Mentoring tech leadership and overseeing the maturing of the Security Operations Center.
• Leading and growing a team of skilled engineers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional peers to execute strategic plans and initiatives.
• Driving technical decisions to mitigate risks and enhance detection and response capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure security and incident response.
• 7+ years of managerial experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Expertise in network and system security principles, tools, and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management systems.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
