Job Description
Incode Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Associate General Counsel, Product and Privacy to join their legal team. This role involves working closely with product, engineering, commercial, and compliance teams to ensure Incode’s identity verification products comply with global privacy laws and industry standards, while supporting the company’s business goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on privacy, data protection, and product-related legal issues and ensuring alignment with regulatory and contractual obligations.

Role involves:
  • Providing legal support and strategic advice to product and engineering teams.
  • Ensuring product compliance with global privacy regulations.
  • Drafting and negotiating product-related legal terms.
  • Supporting the negotiation of commercial agreements.
  • Leading privacy impact assessments (PIAs).
  • Monitoring changes in global privacy regulations.
  • Developing and maintaining privacy policies.
  • Providing training to internal teams on privacy and data protection.
  • Identifying potential privacy risks and recommending solutions.

Requirements:
  • J.D. or equivalent legal degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of a state bar (California or Texas).
  • 5+ years of experience in privacy, product counseling, or technology law.
  • Experience advising on global privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, LGPD).
  • Deep understanding of privacy and security principles.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze and apply complex privacy and technology regulations.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Business-minded and solutions-oriented.
  • Passion for emerging technologies, biometrics, and privacy.
