Job Description
Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Developer Experience Engineer to join their PlayStation Network server platform development team in Tokyo. This role focuses on developing and improving the platform that supports PlayStation Network's server applications. The engineer will work to automate routine tasks, quantitatively visualize server health, and create an environment for automated and sustainable application development, operation, and security.
The position involves collaborating with global teams, including those in the US, to drive continuous improvement and innovation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating an environment where engineers can focus on high-value tasks and solving technical challenges through systematic solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Building automated update flows for dependency libraries and container images using Renovate.
- Developing and automating CI/CD pipelines centered on Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
- Developing PR auto-generation and code modification proposal flows using LLMs.
- Visualizing service health using BI tools like DOMO.
- Improving web application architecture to reduce operational load and costs.
- Planning and developing internal tools to solve development team challenges.
- Responding to inquiries and providing technical support to internal engineers.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and testing web applications, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Experience with team development using Git.
- Experience using cloud service providers (e.g., AWS).
- Basic Linux operation skills.
- Interest in and ability to execute automation and systematization.
- Experience in collaborative team development.
