Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their PlayStation Network team in Tokyo, Japan. This role is crucial for ensuring PlayStation remains a secure gaming platform while minimizing impact on the platform itself. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to plan, design, develop, test, and manage security tools and processes for the cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
Designing, building, and implementing security controls and frameworks for PlayStation Network's cloud infrastructure.
Identifying security gaps and leading efforts to mature security tools and operational processes.
Collaborating with product and platform teams to define system requirements and implement cloud-based security applications and controls.
Automating security processes by applying DevSecOps processes and tools to seamlessly integrate security into code building and deployment.
Designing, developing, and deploying automated solutions to support auditing, securing, and implementing changes across multi-cloud environments.
Driving tools to improve platform availability using automated protection mechanisms.
Researching and introducing new technologies and collaboratively implementing solutions.
Guiding fellow engineers in making better design choices to protect the platform.
Becoming a security and privacy expert.
Requirements:
Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.
Extensive experience with multi-cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, with a proven track record as a security engineer or architect.
Deep knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards.
Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages such as Python or Go.
Experience in designing and implementing IaC tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
Comprehensive experience with CI/CD, DevOps, or similar practices (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Kubernetes).
Experience building end-to-end enterprise-level systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven track record in coaching and talent development.
Technical certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or other qualifications demonstrating a passion for security and technology are a plus.
