Job Description
Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for applying the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) to PlayStation game consoles and peripherals, ensuring the security quality of firmware, operating systems, and applications. This is a crucial role in maintaining the security of the PlayStation ecosystem and providing users with a safe and enjoyable gaming experience.
The Security Engineer will work as part of Sony group and will collaborate with overseas teams.
Role involves:
- SDL implementation
- Design reviews and risk analysis
- Source code reviews
- Security function verification
- Fuzzing tests and security test design
- Offshore task management
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Security Development Lifecycle related tasks (risk analysis, security design review, code review, penetration testing, static analysis, OSS vulnerability response, incident response, etc.)
- OR 2+ years of experience in embedded device development using C/C++
- Desired skills include knowledge of cryptography, scripting and assembly languages, CI/CD environment construction, cloud services, and authentication/authorization
- Japanese: N1 level or equivalent proficiency
