Job Description
PlayStation Studios is seeking a PC Test Specialist to join their team in Tokyo, Japan. In this role, the PC Test Specialist will be responsible for Test Design, Improvement, and Implementation of PC Testing processes and procedures, with a focus within Functional Test Team and supporting our Network, Performance and Compatibility operations.
The PC Test Specialist will collaborate with representatives across Functional Testing, Compliance Testing, Test and Tools Engineering, and the Network, Compatibility, and Performance Lab to ensure consistent and repeatable processes are in place, maintained and measured. He/she will have deep knowledge of PC platform (Hardware and Software) requirements and will proactively share knowledge amongst the test teams to support the development of high-quality PC titles.
Role involves:
- Providing subject matter expertise and educate staff on PC operating system interaction, PC client functionality, and performance testing applied to multiplatform title development.
- Gathering studio requirements and expectations to help inform testing processes, tools and procedures.
- Training and development of Functional Test staff to ensure consistent service understanding and quality across products.
- Researching and documenting product defects and performance metrics.
- Promoting new test strategies across project disciplines.
- Maintaining software libraries to support test staff PC operation (GPU drivers etc.)
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years' experience in QA Operations
- Bilingual: Japanese and English. Business Level Required
- PC Games testing, release and post-launch experience
- Understanding of PC graphics hardware and software
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
