Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description

Backbase is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for seamlessly integrating the Backbase platform into customer systems. This involves collaborating with customer developers, writing code, and ensuring successful implementations.

The Senior Backend Engineer will travel to customer sites to build relationships and work closely with developers. They will serve as a backend expert, identifying reusable components and contributing to their development. The ideal candidate is proficient in Agile software development and can write clean, well-tested code. They should also be capable of coaching developers on the client and partner side and providing training on the platform.

The role requires a proactive individual who can handle pressure, meet tight deadlines, and exceed customer expectations. The engineer should be comfortable working in diverse work cultures and be able to make prompt, informed decisions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java and Spring
• Experience with Microservices
• Extensive knowledge of integration patterns and frameworks (Apache Camel, Spring Integration)
• Understanding of enterprise software architectures and web technologies
• Ability to adapt to changing software landscapes
